Genuine Upper Palatinate Zoigl brandy
First there was Zoigl beer. This bottom-fermented, unfiltered and untreated beer is still brewed in the traditional manner by brewing communities in the northern Upper Palatinate and served in our homeland in and around the Steinwald. Zoigl beer is only available here, as it has been for centuries. Our family also holds a brewing right, which it used to exercise. Since Zoigl can no longer be brewed in Erbendorf today, we came up with something different: We distil the Zoigl beer that others in the Upper Palatinate continue to brew.
Our distillery blends the traditional Zoigl beer with modern know-how and traditional craftsmanship to produce Z wie ZoiglOur Z1 Zoiglbier brandy Z1 was the first of its kind and is therefore considered the original. It is robust and clear with the unmistakeable beer aroma of the unfiltered Zoigl beer. Z2Z2, our beer liqueur made from Zoigl beer and Z1, is sure to please the palate of those who prefer a smoother drink.
